Are we really saying it again? How is that even possible? 2015 was a year filled with many memories, laughs, and a lot of hard work, and boy did it fly by.

A lot of the team was able to take some time off this holiday season, to be with family and friends, so we hope the same for you. However, there is no rest for the wicked, and the team will be right back at it here to start 2016. Dubai, as usual is not slowing down, so neither can we.

2016 will once again be an exciting year, as Dubai continues to push the limits in nearly every facet, as well as continuing to attract some of the biggest names in the world in their respective fields, such as entertainers, sports stars, and global celebrities. Just last week, Floyd Mayweather Jr. was in Dubai, spending a million dollars on a watch, and cruising around Dubai Marina on a rented yacht.

In 2016 Dubai and the UAE will celebrate its 45th Independence/National Day , as well as play host to the 13th Annual Dubai International Film Festival. Those two major events barely scratch the surface of events and celebrations taking place throughout the year, a few more of which I will touch on throughout this letter.

We hope you had a wonderful 2015, and are preparing for an even better 2016.
From all of us here at 24 Degrees, HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Offering more than 25 million square feet, and 100 rides and attractions spread across 5 parks, this addition to the Dubai portfolio of entertainment options will no doubt make a splash. With a Bollywood and Hollywood themed park, a Legoland and Legoland Water park, as well as a shopping and dining district, this destination in itself will have something for everyone.

Jumeirah Al Naseem

Already one of the most impressive hotel resorts in Dubai, Madinat Jumeirah is set for a fourth expansion, due for completion in 2016.

Jumeirah Al Naseem, which means a gentle wind or sea breeze in Arabic, reflects the location of the hotel on the shoreline of the Arabian Gulf and the open aspect of its design.

It will enjoy a highly prized location between the current Mina A'Salam hotel and the iconic Burj Al Arab. Al Naseem will comprise 435 rooms once completed, and will connect to the wider Madinat resort, enabling guests to use the vast array of facilities.

Bistrot Bagatelle

New York, Los Angeles, Sao Paulo, St. Barths, St. Tropez, Miami... and now Dubai. One of the most glamorous restaurant brands in the world has confirmed it is coming to Dubai, bringing with it 'the classic south of France "joie de vivre"'.

Launched in the trendy Manhattan Meatpacking District in 2008, Bagatelle has developed a fierce reputation as a place for both refined dining and a downright good time.

INTERSECT BY LEXUS

Dubai is only the second city in the world to call INTERSECT BY LEXUS home, following the Tokyo opening in 2013.

Developed by Masamichi Katayama (Wonderwall Inc.), the world-renowned interior designer, INTERSECT BY LEXUS is a place like no other in the city.

Neither a dealership, nor a traditional retail space, INTERSECT BY LEXUS is a third space between home and work for our guests to experience the Brand without getting behind the steering wheel of one of our cars.

A high attention to detail can be seen across the space where among many others, the bamboo wall is a design representation of the Lexus Spindle Grille while the banquette are made of the same leather used in the Lexus LFA supercar.

The idea behind the hugely successful restaurant is simple, no menu, just burgers and lobster. In fact, as the official website says, "As for the whole 'no-menu' thing, who needs one when you have a team with bags of personality just waiting to have a real conversation with you?”.
