One down, three to go.
The team is excited for what Q2 has in store, and is gearing up for the home stretch until Ramadan and Summer holidays. We had an amazing Q1, with the successful running of YPO GLC and EDGE Conference, the global conference for Young Presidents Organization, where we welcomed nearly 2,500 delegates during the weeklong event with attendees coming into town from all over the world. Along with that, a number of other events, and a few FAM trips, the team has been extremely busy.
We also had another very exciting thing happen to us during Q1. In London at the annual M&IT Industry Awards, 24 Degrees was awarded Bronze in the category “Best Destination Management Company”, a true honor and incredible accomplishment. If you haven’t seen it already, please check out our Appreciation video on our vimeo and Facebook pages.
As always, Dubai continues to move at breakneck speeds, approving billion dollar developments seemingly on a daily basis, the latest being the news about a Six Flags development being proposed within the under construction Dubai Parks and Resorts.
We hope you’ve all had a wonderful start to your 2016, and we also hope you are looking forward to Q2 as much as we are.
THE UAE TO BECOME HOME TO ANOTHER WORLD RECORD
The latest record will be broken in nearby Ras Al Khaimah, where the new worlds longest zip line will be setup. The zip line will shoot off from the highest mountain in the UAE, Jebel Jais.
The extreme ride will be 2.6km long and will be open by the end of April. The world’s longest zip line right now is in South Africa (and is 2km long).
The new zip line will also be close to a 5-star desert camp that’s being built, as well as a via ferrata which translated means ‘iron road’ from Italian. It’s basically a steel cable that runs along a mountain face. Climbers attach themselves to the cable so that they can traverse routes that would be too dangerous without it. Steps, pegs and ladders can also be used as part of a via ferrata route.

The logo has been inspired by a 4,000-year-old ring found at an ancient archaeological site in the Al Marmum area of Dubai.
